Jack Morefield writes on his website, www.jackmorfield.com, that experiencing his acrylic paintings in real life is completely different to seeing pictures of them online. The paintings are massive, so when you look at them up close, you will notice all the jumbled patterns. When you stand back to see the paintings from a bit of a distance, the patterns will seem to merge into the shape of his subjects.
Ooohh, psychedelic!

flexibility
I knew I wouldn't be able to do this, but I still had to get down on the floor to give it a try..
I wonder how long I would have to practice for before I could manage to do it?? I wish I was the sort of person who would bother to practice doing stuff like that, as I would totally love to impress my friends with some freak-poses.

swine flu
Apparently it's less dangerous than a normal flu. What's up with the crazy scare-hype??
I'm not scared.
How about you?

3d illustrations by Zamak
My foxy man-friend works with 3d computer graphic modeller, so he has shown me a lot of cool 3d artists, including Zamak.
Olivier Bucheron, aka Zamak, breaks the anatomy of the 3d bodies he creates down into blobs and circular parts. Most of them are robots, or weird creatures - and they all have the same recognizable style.
The foxy man-friend wants to teach me one of the easier 3d modelling programs(Z-brush). A part of me says "noo I already have too many interests and hobbies to keep them all up.." and an other part of me says "YAAY come on, it will be like polymer clay, only it's impossible to get it dirty and full of carpet fluff, and I bet I can make some funky 3d stuff!?".
What do you think? Should I learn Z-brush, or focus on painting, drawing, beading, knitting - and all the other things that I do?

portrait painting by Craig Wylie
Craig Wylie won the BP portrait award in 2008 - but with another painting than this. This, however, won a much more important award; the Eva-award:
On a less serious note, this painting makes me think of fabric softener and reaallly clean clothes!

uterus tattoo
She loves her uterus!! I'm not sure I love mine enough to get it tattooed. Or maybe it's the other way around; maybe I love my skin too much to have a uterus tattooed on it. Nevertheless, I think it's fun and cool that this girl had it done! I wish I could see more of the garment she's holding down, as I like how it's got beetles sewn onto it (I bet you all noticed the beetles, when faced with the uterus-vagina view).

gloomy illustration by Einar Norelius
Check out my blog post on John Bauer if you like this illustration, and want to see more of this style. John Bauer is my all time favourite illustrator - and he's been a major inspiration to a lot of fairy tale illustrators.

male nudes
These photos are all from famous photographers, but I've been silly and haven't saved the names of the photographers.
