nervous

I did this little cat drawing in a corner of a letter I wrote to my friend Kat. I love how it's expression turned out! I find that impulsive, rushed drawings like this one often has more expression and feeling than the ones that are planned to death. I often kill my art by overworking it.
The paper is handmade by me! I will post pictures of the paper later, it was a good experiment. I like how the drawings I make on it gets lovely textured backgrounds instead of clinical harsh white.

Lillepus is such a diva

This photo is clearly lolcat material, but I can't think of any clever or funny text that goes with the picture, - can you? Plz halp!

I won Wilson's blog giveaway!!!

I've been keeping quiet about this giveaway as I wanted more of a chance of winning, bahahaha! AND I WON!? Normally only other people win things.

I didn't win this:
That was Wilson.
And this is Wilson with my prize:

My prize is a taxidermy toad called Mr. Toad with a BFF necklace (one half for mr. Toad and the other for me):
He's got a very nice face, and beautiful eyes, although Wilson has better teeth.

I've never seen such an amazing prize in a blog giveaway before, so I still can't believe that I actually won it. I feel very lucky, all those four leaf clovers I've found must finally be doing their magic.

Check out Wilson's blog, The Adventures of Wilson, it is very quirky and very good.

glittery objects are better than non-glittery objects

I bought myself a glittery crochet hook, it's very pretty in the sunlight. I had to start crocheting to justify the purchase, and so I'm in the process of making a rag rug. I wish more mundane objects could be as pretty(and glittery(or furry)), as it would make everything more fun to do. Maybe they should start sending out glittery bills, or have glittery dentists.

Lillepus approves of the rug, even though it isn't finished yet. She prefers to be on top of things that are in use, as it makes her the center of attention:

A video still from something I watched while crocheting:
Ah yes, thanks for the warning.

nature

I haven't been blogging in ages! My friends Andy and Julie came to visit me from the UK, and we looked at nature together. It was very green and full of friendly animals and lengthy distances to walk.

Andy asked me to find a moose for him to look at, but this was the best I could do for him:

Look, it's nearly a moose.. a small white fluffy friendly moose..:

Epic:

Meowmania

A big thanks to Robin Charlotte for sharing the discovery of the best game ever on her blog. It's so good that I think everyone should experience it, and so I'm blogging it here as well for maximum Meowmania exposure.

Robin Charlotte's blog is full of more interesting stuff than Meowmania, you should check it out if you like stuff like taxidermy, weird nature, crafts, jewellery making and vintage treasures.

things I saw in Italy

I would love to live in this house, I'd sit in the glass bit at the top and drink tea while making beaded jewellery:

I bet these two people sit in the window all day and look at the going-ons in the street. Click the picture if you want to see how grumpy the person to the left is:

Kitty LOVES being taken for long walks on the beach in her leash. Seriously. Kitty LOVES it:

The rats in Turin are massive, I saw several in the flood at night and I'm not exaggerating when I say they're the size of small dogs.
I was told the rats normally run off when they see people, but I managed to charm them by baby-talking at them in a gentle mellow voice so they 'd feel safe. They're probably more used to being thrown rocks at than being talked to in a mellow voice, so they kept looking at me curiously. I love how cute this rat looks with it's little mouth open:
Om nom nom.. it was looking at me while it was eating:

I'm impressed by how old these doorbells look, and by how randomly they've been put up on the wall. I like stuff that makes me feel like I'm time travelling:

This vegetable garden must be looked after by a kindred soul:

kittens

See, I made no jokes about hairless pussies in the title, I am definitely able to control myself. And this is important since a certain person's mother follows my blog now;)

We've had cats like these in my dad's cattery, they are weird to pet!

count kitteh

This photo is for my friend Kat to prove that cats doesn't have to be cutesy.

Ok, ok, so I admit it's cute, but it's not cutesy?

do you let any of your pets sleep in your bed with you?

The poll is closed, and this is the result..

Most of us agree that kitty can stay in the bed. If you don't let your pet in the bed with you, and especially if the reason is that you find it disgusting, you're in the minority.

I tried to search for pictures of pets in beds, and I stumbled across this one:
Ha ha awww what a happy dog, I bet he had a good time chewing up the mattress.

Here's an old picture of me in the bed of a dog I know. It was only fair that he was allowed to try out my bed after I was allowed to try out his.. (it's not the same dog as in the picture above!!):
Come on, seriously, kitty is NOT disgusting :
I wonder what sort of pets apart from dogs and cats that people let sleep in their beds?

cute fluffy-things

I seriously want one of these angora rabbits, but I'm not settled down enough to own a pet.

I always thought nothing could be too fluffy, but I've changed my mind, and if/when I get an angora rabbit I'll make sure that it can at least look out of it's own fluff:
