my old garden

I just found some photos Kat took of my balcony garden when she visited me in Berlin. It was such a lovely little garden.. An onion-themed oasis surrounded by concrete.

I won Wilson's blog giveaway!!!

I've been keeping quiet about this giveaway as I wanted more of a chance of winning, bahahaha! AND I WON!? Normally only other people win things.

I didn't win this:
That was Wilson.
And this is Wilson with my prize:

My prize is a taxidermy toad called Mr. Toad with a BFF necklace (one half for mr. Toad and the other for me):
He's got a very nice face, and beautiful eyes, although Wilson has better teeth.

I've never seen such an amazing prize in a blog giveaway before, so I still can't believe that I actually won it. I feel very lucky, all those four leaf clovers I've found must finally be doing their magic.

Check out Wilson's blog, The Adventures of Wilson, it is very quirky and very good.

nature

I haven't been blogging in ages! My friends Andy and Julie came to visit me from the UK, and we looked at nature together. It was very green and full of friendly animals and lengthy distances to walk.

Andy asked me to find a moose for him to look at, but this was the best I could do for him:

Look, it's nearly a moose.. a small white fluffy friendly moose..:

Epic:

They're one of my favourite flowers, they even have furry stems!

Norway + winter = cold

Here are some photos I've taken this winter, it has been a super-cold and beautiful winter, and I kind of don't want it to end. It doesn't look like it's going to end either, as the lake is still frozen over.

My younger brother can't be bothered with trivial stuff like putting on a jacket:
Last year he tried some sort of an experiment where he tried to see if he could go all winter without wearing a jacket. The theory was that he would get used to it and stop noticing how cold it was. This winter I've seen him outside in shorts on several occasions, and the record(of, uh, weirdness) was when he helped push a car out of the snow, barefoot and only wearing his morning robe. What a Viking.

A random picture of the thermometer.. it has been even colder, brr:

We turned my older brother's barbecue into a lantern:

the nature pictures

I like mixing fake stuff with real stuff to see what happens. Do I get an utopian fantasy reality or do I highlight the shortcomings of reality - or do I enhance the feeling of unreality about real life?? I don't know. It seems to me that the Norwegian photographer Una Hunderi is playing with the same ideas in her photos called "the nature pictures".

Mmhh I'd go for the utopian fantasy reality, but then again, I'm soft hearted and naive, I want to believe ;)

STOP SHOUTING ON THE INTERNET!

I have been ranting about all sorts in this blog lately - I thought it would be a look-at-the-pictures-only blog when i started out, but alas, I just can't shut up. I guess it would be more shocking if I DID shut up, as I'm just TOO LOUD AND TOO MUCH, WHEREVER AND WHENEVER. WELL AT LEAST I CAN'T SHOUT ON THE INTERNET! SO A PRETTY PICTURE IS ALL I HAVE FOR TODAY:
